THE SPARK

It started with a simple sketch and a dream — to create bags that blend timeless elegance with everyday function. Inspired by women who carry the world on their shoulders, Vellora was born.

THE CRAFT

Each piece is thoughtfully designed and handcrafted by skilled artisans, using only the finest materials. Our London atelier is where passion meets precision — and beauty meets purpose.

THE VISION

Vellora is more than a brand — it’s a movement. A celebration of strength, sophistication, and self-expression. Our journey is just beginning, and you’re part of it.

The Townhouse Atelier

In the heart of our Vellora studio, nestled in London’s vibrant creative quarter, our atelier is led by Eleanor Whitmore — a true embodiment of timeless elegance and modern craftsmanship. Every handbag begins with her vision, shaped by detail, emotion, and purpose. At Vellora, we don’t just design bags — we craft stories meant to be carried.

The leather cutting process

The first step in crafting a bag, after meticulously selecting the leather hides, is hand-cutting the various panels of the bag, taking into account the natural characteristics of the leather.

The assembly

The pieces are positioned together using adhesive. This process is delicate, as the pieces must be aligned precisely according to the pattern. Any excess adhesive is removed by hand to avoid unsightly overflow. Once assembled, the bag is stitched together.

Edge dyeing

The raw leather edges are all hand-dyed, a particularly lengthy and meticulous process.
